Grotto Beach is a pristine Blue Flag beach that stretches for kilometres making it ideal for long walks. At the far end of the beach, the lagoon enters the sea and this is a popular spot for families with young children who can splash around in the shallow, warm water. The beach is a typical sandy beach offering steady waves and in summer the water is a pleasant temperature. On the town side of the beach there is a restaurant, a play park, lots of parking and good ablution facilities.
